Animation Tutorial
First you need to prepare several images
to animate it. Ok so let's start!
Save this image girl.jpg at your hard drive.
1. Now open the image girl.jpg from your hard drive in paint shop pro
7.0. And Save this image in .psp format. Go to File menu -- Save as
-- hello.psp -- Save.
2. If your Layer palette is not opened please click
L in your keyboard and it will open the Layer Palette.
3. You can see first layer on it by name 'Layer1'
4. If you put your mouse curser over 'Layer1', it will show the image
in 'Layer1'. Click on 'Layer Visibility Toggle'(it has a symbol of eye
glasses.) Now you cannot see the image because it is invisible now. Again
click on it and it will show the Image again.
5. Slide the opacity layer to left side and it will make an image to fade.
6. Right next to it is 'Layer blend mode'
tab. Click on the arrow and it will open a menu of different modes. You
can select any of it and it will change the image differently. At present
just live it as 'Normal'
7. Right click with your mouse where
it is written 'Layer1'. A pop up box will open. Click on 'Duplicate'.
You will notice that there are two layers now in your Layer Palette -
Layer1 & Copy of Layer1. You can change the name of Layers by double
clicking the Layer or by right clicking and selecting 'Rename'.
8. Right click on 'Layer1' and change the name as 'Girl'
and 'Copy of layer1' as 'H'
Click on Mover tool (looks like this  )
and click the letter H and drag near to the mouth of girl.
9. Click on Text tool. Choose a color and write H with settings shown
in pic.
10. H still selected, click on Effects
--3D Effects -- then click on Inner Bevel with settings shown in pic.
11. Again click on Effects--3D Effects--Drop

12. select Girl Layer from your Layer
Palette and click with right mouse button and duplicate it. Again right
click and Rename it as 'HE'. Now click and drag the 'HE' Layer over 'H'
Layer so that HE layer should be on top.
13. Click on Text tool. Write 'HE' and try to put these text exactly in
the same line where your 'H' was. Repeat the 10 and 11 No. Steps.
Now you have three layers Girl, H and HE. Repeat the process from No.
12 & 13 three more times. And in these layers Write letters HEL, HELL,
HELLO respectively.
14. Now your Layer Palette would look like this.
Save your image as psp file. If you save
your file as jpg or gif file, you will lose all layers so be very careful
and only save as psp file.
Now your image is ready for animation
How to animate it?
1. Start Jasc Animation Shop software. (You can launch it from Paint shop
pro itself. To Launch - Click on File--Jasc Software Products --Launch

2. Click on File --Open, you will see a box. select tellhello.psp file
which you created in paint shop pro few moments back. If you scroll the
bottom scroll bar, you will see all the images in different frames.
3. Click on View-- Animation Your image is now in animation form but the
speed is too fast. To correct the speed you have to select all the frames
from Frame window. Click on Edit--Select All.
It will select every frame of your image
file. If your image is selected it will show blue outline on every frame.
4. Now Click on Animation --> Frame Properties.. It will open a box.
Change 10 to 50 in "Display in" box. Click OK.
5. It will change the speed of animation.
If you want more slow speed, just increase the Number. and it will animate
your image in slow speed.
