Circular Text

For this tutorial you'll need Jasc's psp 7 or Jasc.com (download trial version)

I assume that you already have Paint shop pro 7 in your machine. If not download it and install it in your machine.

Now open the psp 7 software.
Set both foreground and background colors to white.
Open new image with these settings. File - New.

Click on Layers - New Vector Layer.


A dialog box will open up keep these settings and click ok in it.

Click on the Preset Shapes tool from verticle tool bar.
Click on Tool Options box and settings should be like this:

Select your new image, left click with mouse button and hold it and drag to draw a circle in it. Make sure to leave an empty space around it.


Now your image should look like this.

Now let's write a text on it.
Click on Text Tool from verticle tool bar. Now keep your mouse pointer on the circle of the image as shown in pic. Your curser should turn to the perticular shape (A with red x and...) as shown in pic. Now click on your image to open text box.



Text box will pop open.
Type in it "My First Circular Text" and keep settings like this. Click ok.
Note: keep Fill color Red instead of white to get red text or choose gradient color to get two color text.

Now your image will look like. this.

You can see marching ants in image it means this image is still selected. Keep it selected and add drop shadow twice from menu bar Effects - 3D effects - Drop Shadow in it with these settings. Click Ok. Now right click on image to remove selection (marching ants) and click ok. Now hit delet to remove the vector selection.

Now merge all the layers. Click on menu bar Layers- Merge - Merge all flatten.
Now your image will look like this. It looks white because we kept Text color as white in text box. Change it to different colors to get different effects. Run drop shadow or Inner bevel for more effects. Use gradient colors in forground or background color box to make it two color text.
