How to make gradient colors?
How to fill Patern?
Crop
Tool 
Crop tool help to cut the desired portion
of an image.
Save this image in your hard drive.
Open the above image in your psp 7.
Let's crop the image. It has an extra
white space around the star so we'll crop the image so that
only Star image should left.
Ok Select the star image by clicking
on it.
Now click on Crop icon
to select it.
Now keep your mouse on the left side of the star, hold the
left mouse button and drag it to select the desired area.
Now click on Image of menu bar then click on Crop
and you are done.
Now your image will look like this.
Flood
Fill tool: 
This tool is used to fill color, pattern
or gradient.
Open a new image with desired settings.
Now make a small rectangle with the help of Rectangle 
tool.
Set your forground color and background
color as shown in pic. Keep it in solid color mode.
Now click on floodfill
tool to select it.
Now click with left mouse button on rectagle which you've
made earlier.
It will fill the purple color with left
mouse button and with right mouse button it will fill blue
color as shown in pic. You can fill several color with this
method.
How to make gradient
colors?
Method 1
Ok now let's see how to make two or more colors together.
Keep your foreground and background colors as shown in pic.
Click on your forground color arrow to select gradient color.
Now click on gradient box as shown in pic. Now
your foreground color will look like this.
Now make a rectangle with the help of
rectangle selection tool from verticle tool bar.
Fflood fill your rectangle image with
left mouse button, it will create gradient color.
You can change color of foreground (fg)
and background color (bg)
to get different colors gradients. Click
on fg and bg box a dialog box will open up, choose the desired
color to make different color gradients. Experiment
with different colors till you get desired color.
Method 2
By this method you can choose from the gradients which is
already stored in psp.
1. Click on the arrow to select different color style.
2. Now click on gradient box to select gradient colors.
A new dialog box will pop open. Select
the gradient from that box by clicking on it and click ok.
Now you can fill with selected gradient.
How to fill Patern?
The patern flood fill method is
the same as above. Instead of gradient choose Patern.
Now follow the above Method
2 for rest of the things.
