Paint Shop Pro 7 (Graphics designing Tutorial)
Advanced Tutorial
Text with Gradients
For this tutorial you'll need Jasc's
psp 7 or Jasc.com
(download trial version)
Download Gold fill here
You may find extra stuff in this zip file just ignore it.
Download Lokicola font here.
I've zipped it for your ease you can unzip it and place it in appropriate
folders. Place font in font folder.
I assume that you already have Paint shop pro 7 in your machine.
If not download it and install it in your machine.
Now open the psp 7 software.
Open new image with these settings. File - New. Now
make a new layer Layers - New Raster Layer. Flood fill with
white color.
Note: If you don't want many layers just skip all the layer part
and instead open the new image with white background.
Now make a new layer and name it "text".
Open gold fill from your hard disc. Make your foreground color
as gold fill. For this click on forground color box now click
on "Pattern"

Now find the gold fill pattern from dialog box. It should be your
foreground color.

Now select gradient color in your background
color pallette. I chose light blue gradient.
If you do not have light blue gradient you can make it for yourself.
See pic below.
Follow this tut
to make gradient.
Note: Select light blue color #E0EAF3 at one end and dark blue
color #A2BEDE at other end instead of silver color (you do not
need middle color) see pic 4 of gradient tut.
Now we are ready
to write our text. Make sure that you are working on "text"
layer. Make line width 2 in tool options.
Click on Text tool
a dialog box will pop open now type the desired text (I typed
Hello) and keep settings like this and click ok.

Now your text should look like this. Now merge
all layers by clicking on Layers - merge visible. You can add
drop shadow too if you desire.

That's it you are done!!!
